In 2027, H&P Homework Club is proud to offer one (1) scholarship valued at $5,000 to one (1) outstanding student who demonstrates exceptional academic performance and a strong commitment to learning.

Students are not required to apply for the scholarship. Once enrolled and attending all four (4) school terms at H&P Homework Club in 2027, students will be automatically entered into the scholarship selection process.

However, supporting documentation will be required at the end of the year. Please refer to the eligibility requirements for further details.

The successful student will receive a scholarship award valued at $5,000.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the award, students must satisfy all of the following criteria:

Academic Achievement:

  1. Student must achieve a ranking within the Top 10 students in their school year level.

  2. Official supporting documentation from the student's school must be provided.

Attendance Requirements:

  1. Student must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance and must enrolled to all 4 school terms at H&P Homework Club.

  2. Student must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance at their school. Supporting attendance records may be requested and must be provided by the student's school.

Tie-Breaking Rules:

In the event that two or more students achieve the same academic distinction, the following tie-breaking process will apply.

Tie Breaker 1: If two or more participating students achieve the same ranking or distinction (for example, DUX), the student from the higher year level will be ranked ahead.

Tie Breaker 2: If two or more participating students achieve the same ranking (for example, DUX); and are in the same year level; then the student attending the school with the greater number of students enrolled in that year level will be ranked ahead. Official supporting evidence from the student's school will be required.

Tie Breaker 3: If a winner still cannot be determined through Tie Breakers 1 and 2, participating students will be required to sit a specially designed assessment prepared and administered by H&P Homework Club. The student achieving the highest result in the assessment will be declared the recipient of the award.

Final Decision

Policies

Please take a few minutes to read the following policies designed to maintain a safe, respectful and productive learning environment for everyone.

1. Student Safety and Medical Information

To help ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, parents and guardians must provide:

  • Emergency contact details;

  • Relevant medical information;

  • Allergy disclosures;

  • Medication information; and

  • Any special learning or health requirements that may affect the student's participation.

It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to ensure this information remains current and accurate.

2. Food and Drinks Policy

To maintain a clean and distraction-free learning environment:

  • No food is permitted inside classrooms.

  • No soft drinks, energy drinks or flavoured beverages are permitted.

  • Water bottles are welcome and encouraged.

3. Respectful Behaviour Policy

All students, parents, guardians and visitors are expected to:

  • Treat tutors, staff and fellow students with kindness and respect.

  • Demonstrate good manners and positive behaviour.

  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.

  • Follow tutor instructions at all times.

4. Bullying, Aggression and Misconduct

H&P Homework Club has a zero-tolerance policy towards:

  • Bullying;

  • Harassment;

  • Verbal abuse;

  • Physical aggression;

  • Threatening behaviour;

  • Wilful damage to property; and

  • Serious breaches of club rules.

Students who engage in such behaviour may:

  • Receive warnings;

  • Be suspended from classes;

  • Be dismissed from H&P Homework Club; and/or

  • Be required to leave the premises immediately.

No refunds will be guaranteed following dismissal due to misconduct.

5. Facilities and Toilet Usage

To maintain a clean and safe learning environment, H&P Homework Club facilities are primarily reserved for enrolled students.

Students must seek permission from their tutor before:

  • Leaving the classroom; or

  • Using club facilities, including toilets.

Parents and Guardians:

Parents and guardians are kindly requested to use nearby public facilities located within the local area, including service stations, cafés, restaurants and shopping facilities. Convenient options nearby such as McDonald's; Hungry Jack's; and other local businesses within approximately 1-2 minutes of the centre.

6. Arrival Expectations

To maximise learning time and minimise disruptions, students are expected to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of their session. Late arrivals may reduce the effectiveness of the support provided during the class.

7. High School Student Expectations

High school students are encouraged to arrive prepared and ready to learn. Students should:

  • Bring relevant school materials;

  • Identify specific questions or challenges they would like support with;

  • Communicate areas where they wish to advance beyond classroom learning.

Preparation helps tutors provide more targeted and effective support.

8. Student Pick-Up Policy

To assist with class transitions and preparation for subsequent sessions, parents and guardians are expected to collect their children promptly at the conclusion of each session. Students should be picked up no later than 10 minutes after the session concludes. Repeated late pick-ups may result in additional supervision fees or review of enrolment arrangements.

9. Learning Materials and Equipment

H&P Homework Club provides most learning resources when required during sessions (i.e. Books; Worksheets; Drafting paper; Laptops; iPads; Coloured pencils; and other learning resources). However, students are expected to bring their own basic stationery kit (i.e. Pencils; Pens; Sharpener; Eraser (rubber); Ruler; Calculator and any subject-specific equipment required for schoolwork).
